The Island of Pag and its surroundings offer many possibilities for half day and full day excursions.
For our guests we can arrange excursions to the adjacent islands: Maun, Olib, Silba, Škrda by pneumatic powerboat for 6 persons. (Arrangements should be made at least one day in advance)
The sightseeing of the island of Pag is possible for the cycling enthusiasts as well. In this way they can also enjoy the beauty of the island. No matter how long your vacation is you will be short of time to cycle all the paths you’ve intended. The sightseeing in May is especially memorable because this is the time when lavender and sage turn the island into a dream world. Anyone who cycles the island paths may stop at one moment wondering where s/he is - since the scenery of the islands is full of opposites. Apart from cycling, on the island of Pag you can enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, diving, windsurfing and many other outdoor activities.
In Novalja you can see the antique aqueduct; the town museum and the adventurous ones can take a stroll (about an hour) along the road that leads to the ferry and enjoy the view of the adjacent islands and Velebit from the famous Pag triangle. You can also go on excursions to the islands of Rab, Kornati and Mali Lošinj. Near Novalja, you can attend horseback riding school and/or collect medicinal herbs in a beautiful natural surrounding.
In the town of Pag you can take a half day or full day guided excursions to get an insight in its antiquity and beauty. In this way you will visit the church of the Assumption, Skrivanat tower, the old town of Pag, the salt factory, the gallery of the lace of Pag, the tavern where you can taste paška žutica, cheese and prosciutto. In addition to this, in Povljana there is an ornithological reserve Veliko blato and Segal pond with curative muds (Information – Tourism Association of the Povljana district 023/692-003)
Zadar is a cultural and historical center of the Zadar County. Situated at only 45 minutes distance from the Koljan district, Zadar is definitely worthy of your visit. Numerous historical monuments, beautiful churches, the old town and the excursions to the nearby islands will make your stay in our region even more memorable.
